The team behind DayDuel
DayDuel is made by Cyber Ocean, a studio that builds games and apps for phones and the web. We started DayDuel to make the small daily puzzle we wanted to play ourselves: a few minutes with your morning coffee, the same for everyone, and a reason to come back tomorrow.
How a puzzle gets made
Every puzzle goes through the same hands before it reaches you. One of us writes it, another checks every fact against a source, and the pictures are chosen and credited one by one. Then we play it ourselves, on a phone and on a computer, before it's scheduled. If something feels unfair, too easy or confusing, it goes back to the start.
